Bird walk at Bangalore University Campus

Last week, we conducted a bird walk at Bangalore University Campus. The attendees had a great time trying to identify birds from a bird booklet by Early Bird.

The highlight of the bird walk was the spotting of Malabar Parakeet, a rare sighting in this area. When we discussed with experts in the group, it seemed like the first sighting in that area. But, later we got to know that it was the second sighting, the previous sighting being in the previous year by another birder.

Nevertheless, it was a rare sighting.
