What is birding?

Birding is almost the same as birdwatching but there is a very subtle difference. Simply put, bird-watchers look at birds; birders look for them.

Difference between birding and birdwatching

Birdwatching is a passive activity. You can look out of you balcony to spot a bird (any bird) and marvel at it. Birding is a much more aggressive form of birdwatching. Birders will hop in a car and drive for 3 hours just to see more varieties of a bird.
